Kim is a designer with extensive experience leading projects through all design phases, from schematic design to construction administration. She graduated with the highest honors from Bates College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. After working at an architecture firm in California, she returned and earned her Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (GSD) in 2010.
Kim spent the next decade working at Jensen Architects in San Francisco, where she became an Associate. She contributed to many projects, most notably leading custom residential projects from conception through completion. As part of the senior leadership, other responsibilities included mentorship, reviewing work in the studio, and spearheading the firm's marketing and business practices as Chair of the Business Development Committee.
Kim is approachable and thoughtful, gaining trust and respect from colleagues, clients, and consultants. She is passionate about architecture as a practice that balances the practical and poetic, pairing her disposition toward rigor and logic with a lightness of touch. She has focused on residential work, stemming from her love of the scale and personal nature of such projects.
As a Principal at Baseline Design, Kim brings a natural ability to listen carefully and study thoroughly, and above all, a motivation to exceed expectations.
