This project will be a Certified Passive House (Passive House Classic). It is a new house for a couple committed to building a high-performance forever home. The house will be constructed with passive house design tenets that far surpass code requirements and other sustainable building metrics. It will utilize R-52 and R-59 continuous insulation, airtight construction, thermal bridge-free details, triple-paned and high-performance windows and doors, and ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator) ventilation.

Baseline Design was brought on after the DD (Design Development) phase. We were sought out for our knowledge of passive house detailing, construction administration, and PHI (Passive House Institute) certification. In addition, we were brought on for exterior and interior design and finish selection.

The project is under permit review, and the estimated construction start date is September 2024.
